I'm Kevin Koszarek—a chef, pitmaster, and explorer with a passion for creating unforgettable culinary experiences wherever the journey leads. From handcrafted breakfasts at sunrise to elegant dinners beneath the stars, I believe every meal should reflect the destination, the people gathered around the table, and the memories being created.
My culinary journey has taken me from backyard barbecue and live-fire cooking to luxury yachts, where I discovered a passion for combining world-inspired cuisine with genuine hospitality. Every destination offers new ingredients, new techniques, and new stories, and I believe the best chefs never stop learning.
As an Air Force OEF veteran, I developed the discipline, adaptability, and professionalism that continue to shape the way I work today. Those qualities carried me into culinary school, where I have continued refining my craft while building a foundation in classical cooking, baking, pastry, menu development, and hospitality. Along the way, I have expanded my skills through mixology training, butchery experience, and a commitment to mastering every aspect of the modern professional kitchen.
My experience as a yacht chef in the Bahamas reinforced what I enjoy most about this profession. Working aboard a yacht requires much more than preparing exceptional food. It demands organization, flexibility, creativity, and the ability to deliver outstanding meals in constantly changing environments. From provisioning remote islands and preparing fresh local seafood to creating memorable holiday dinners and elegant multi-course meals, every day presented new opportunities to learn and improve.
Outside the galley, I am an avid freshwater and saltwater fisherman, a certified SCUBA diver, and someone who enjoys exploring local markets, cultures, and regional cuisines. Those experiences continually influence my cooking and inspire new ideas that I bring back to every kitchen I step into.
I have chosen the freelance yacht chef lifestyle because it allows me to combine my passion for travel with my dedication to exceptional hospitality. I enjoy joining private owners and charter guests for short-term contracts, bringing fresh ideas, professionalism, and a calm, organized approach to every voyage while creating dining experiences that become part of the adventure itself.
Whether I'm preparing fresh seafood at anchor, baking pastries before sunrise, crafting an elegant tasting menu, or cooking over an open fire on a secluded beach, my goal remains the same—to create exceptional food, provide genuine hospitality, and leave every guest with memories that last long after the voyage ends.
